Day 22; 25032013, Monday.

* Today, we had our IS module on traditional Chinese paper cutting! I was really excited for this because I have never tried paper cutting in my entire life!

Some of the pictures on the paper cutting lecture!

We have learn about the different ways on how to cut the paper and the different patterns that you can cut to beautify your cutting!
Our paper cutting lecturer did a life demo on a large piece of paper! Other then cutting the paper, you also need to learn how to open up the paper properly!

The final product of the lecturer's hard work! It is so beautiful!

The paper cutting that I have did! The process of cutting the paper is really very tough! At first I thought it was quite easy because the lecturer did it smoothly and quickly but I was so wrong!

A picture with the lecturer!

After our IS session, we headed off for lunch and we came across this butterfly exhibition! I am never a fan of insects and small little flying creatures so I was gross out the moment I saw the butterflies. They sold all kinds of the butterflies there! I was quite shocked at the amount of dead butterflies are placed on display! Nevertheless, a lot of students are fascinated by this exhibition and take a look of it.

We headed for dinner and we saw a few new local snacks!

This below is a doughnut! It does not resemble a doughnut at all though.. It contains pork floss as filling!

This dish is fried potato slices with special fermented sauce! It taste good!

All in all, the IS module today made me appreciate more of the cultures of China! I am definitely looking forward to the future IS modules that we have in the coming week!
