Day 1: Three Gorgos Dam
* Today we are going for our three gorgos dam trip! Yippee! We are going to stay on a ship so technically it will be my first time sleeping on a ship!
We will be taking another long and painful 5 to 6 hours to reach our destination!
I found this cute and sweet tasting marshmallow cone in the service area shop!
So cute isn't it? The filling is strawberry jam like jelly! It taste so nice and sweet!
After a few hours, we stopped by a local restaurant for our dinner! This dinner is by far the best dinner we ever had! Everything taste good and it resembles Singapore's dishes in some ways!
After dinner, we continued our bus ride and we transferred to another bus along the way! The transferred bus ride was very bumpy and shaky! I enjoy that ride very much though! It resembles much of a roller coaster and that sudden tilt to the left and ride is very exciting!
We reach the ferry terminal at around 7pm or 8pm!
As you can see, the sky is already dark and the entire terminal looks even more gloomier then ever!
This is my first time stepping foot into a ferry terminal and it was a little disappointing at first but the terminal looks quite different at night! After all the head counting and such, we were led down the long flight of stairs towards the ferry jetty. In front of us is the ship we are going to stay tonight: 金太阳号 (Golden Sun?)
My first impression of the ship was that it seems a little too small and run down as compared to the luxurious cruises in Singapore! To be honest, I was expecting something better then that. But I should be satisfy with what I have and quit whining over all this small and minute matters..
After assembling at the lobby of our designated ship and ensuring every single one of us have reached the destination,
All of us dash into our allocated room and place our belonging down!
A picture of how the room look like! It might seem a little small but it is still quite comfortable! Some of us did some washing up and head to bed whilst the others might have some bonding time with their fellow friends!
Day 2: Three Gorgos Dam
* Today we had our breakfast at around 0630 in the morning! Urgh so early! Reminds me of some sort of boot camp!
Our breakfast!
It was a very plain and simple breakfast and I guess most of us can't really adept to it; including myself. I only ate the porridge and egg to fill my tummy. After eating a little, I headed back to my room to rest as there are hardly any programmes for us in the morning. Two trips have been arranged for us and they cost 180 RMB and 120 RMB respectively. I didn't went for either of them because firstly, they are kind of pricy but it is still worth viewing but however secondly, I did not bring enough cash along with me. I refuse to borrow such a huge sum from any of my friends so I choose to not go for it. Partly because I was kind of lazy as well.. So I rested and revised a little for my upcoming test until around 12 to 1 pm. Karize and I then went to the roof of the ferry to take a few shots of the surroundings!
We then headed down because we heard that lunch is going to be served soon. A few hawkers then rowed their boat to the side of our ship to sell us some of the local delicacies they sell! Fried small fish and stir fry mini prawns!
The two of them taste good but I like the prawn a little better! The fish was too oily for me and I can't really taste the freshness of its flesh.. The prawn on the other hand, taste better but the shells of the prawn kept on cutting the inside of my mouth.. It hurts a lot as well! Either way, after eating this two dishes, I was quite full and shortly afterwards, lunch was finally served!
I ate a little for the lunch and stop eating altogether.
After our lunch, we headed off to Bai Di Cheng to explore the attraction there!
It has quite a magnificent view as it involves quite a decent amount of walking!
Picture!
Took a few more pictures and we left this place!
This attraction is beautiful but I don't really have much things to say for this attraction. I guess all the previous attractions have already numbed my bewilderment nerves!
After the visit to this attraction, everyone headed back to the ship for dinner and to rest!
Our dinner for the day:
Day 3: Three Gorgos Dam
* All of us woke up super early and we took a boat to our next destination!
The picture above is the boat that we have took!
It has been quite a while since I have last taken a boat! The boat that we are taking may seem enormous but it still traveled at quite fast speed! Along the way to our destination, we came across a few splendid views of the surrounding!
We arrived at our destination before we know it! We then began our journey through these platform which floats on water!
All of have had difficulties trying to cross these floating platforms as it is very shaky! Most of us had to grip the ropes on the either sides of the walkway for support! It kind of felt like a earthquake. Everyone was swaying from left to right and I almost lost my footing a few times because the platform kept on tilting. Well, it is a once in a lifetime experience! You will never experience this in Singapore.
After the jerky and shaky walk through these floating platforms, we climbed more stairs to reach the peak of the nearby mountain!
The picture above is the peak of the mountain! It is very beautiful and we can even view the ferry dock from here!
After this, all of us headed down to the souvenir stores to purchase some goods for our loved ones.
Some of the goods sold!
We then headed back by the boat we took earlier to our ship to pack up and leave Three Gorgos Dam!
Last view of the Gorgos Dam!
End~
Haha yeap, I as also expecting more for the cruise rooms, but they were actually quite cozy lah. I liked the shrimps as well! It very interesting to eat the shell as well, thanks for letting me try! :)
ReplyDeleteI'll also like to thank you for letting me try the shrimps, and all the other snacks you've offered throughout the trip, ha ha. I feel very blessed to have such giving people along on this trip. You've been a wonderful roommate along with the other girls. If I could go back in time I would and I would have spent more time getting to know y'all. I'm sorry I'm not good with names and it's shameful that I only got to know y'all 2 weeks into the trip. This has taught me so much about networking and I'm glad to have formed more friendships.
