Day 29-34; Our last week in China.

Day 29:

* Today was a study day for us so not much happened. Below is pictures of food that I ate for the day! Enjoy!

The street stalls outside our University also got relocated further down to the opposite streets! However, to our pleasant surprise, the new venue consist of better facilities for the street vendors! Food hawkers finally have their very own private kitchen to enable to cook their food much efficiently.
This is definitely the best for them! The food street is also located inside this sheltered walkway armed with tables and chairs for us consumers to enjoy our meal more comfortably. Both the vendors and the customers will no longer be troubled whenever it rains!

A picture of the sheltered pathway!

杨洲炒粉 (Yang Zhou Fried Noodles!)

Red Bean milk pudding!

Day 30:

* Today is quite a mundane day for me as well.
We discuss and compiled all our information for our Forensic Science presentation together and did our final touch up for information gathered.
We also had our usual morning lessons and we came across this group shot at the notice board situated outside our classroom!

Everybody is smiling! ;D

We then had our lunch at the canteen near the school's library!

After our lunch, we entered the stationary shop to get  more stationary for ourselves as the pens and pencils there are incredibly cheap!

My stash of pens, pencils and ink refills accumulated for the past few weeks!

After our lunch, we went back to our hostel and continued the discussion for our presentation!
Day 31:

* Today we had our last forensic science presentation! My group (Jodie, Pei Pei, Karize, Hui Ting and I) did our presentation on fingerprinting. We had 2 activities planned for our tutorial class mates. The first is to apply emulsifying oil on your own thumb and then press your thumb firmly on a black piece of paper. Sprinkle a fair amount of powder (We used Johnson baby powder) and sift the powder evenly on the thumb print we made earlier. Gently brush off the powder and you can see your very own fingerprints clearly! We showed a table of different types of finger print and we ask our tutorial mates to  compare their prints and find out which category do their finger prints falls in.

We also used ink pad to print our own thumbprints as well! Nazhifah decided to placed her thumb prints all over my arm! HAHA!

The second activity is to find our whose fingerprints does it belong to on a few objects. I participated in this activity and placed my finger prints on a glass bottle! Our tutorial mates now have to find out which fingerprints belongs to who! It was quite a fun activity and nobody guess my fingerprints correctly! Instead they thought that the finger prints on the glass bottle belongs to Jodie's. This is because Jodie and I have the same type of finger prints and I guess it confused our tutorial mates a little! Nevertheless, our presentation was a success and we are all proud of it.

Day 32:
Today is our major last exam for forensic science! Our exam lasted for a good 2 hours and I made use of that time to complete my last exam in China!
The paper was very hard but I put in all my effort for this test! I hope I can do well for this!

All of us then headed off for town to celebrate the end of our studying journey in Wuhan!

It was my first time travelling to town and it was quite a enjoyable experience for me! Their town area resembles Singapore's Bugis Junction! It looks very modern as compared to the streets outside the the university we are staying in. I expected the town area to be something not as classy as the one above thus imagine my shock when I saw this!

More pictures of the town area!

All of us  decided to shop in a gigantic shopping mall nearby and after shopping for a while, our entire group got split up into two different groups.
The interior of the shopping mall looks very grand as well! It really resembles the shopping malls back in Singapore! For a few seconds, I thought I was back in Singapore again!

Most of the shops in the shopping sells branded stuff and they cost quite costly as well. A single piece of clothing averages around 250 RMB to 400 RMB. It is definitely very costly as compared to Singapore's clothing.
Most of us decided to shop in small shops which sells various small gifts to gift our friends and family when we reach Singapore.

The two separated groups decided to meet up again as soon as evening arrives. We decided to eat western cuisine as they previously have dined at that restaurant before.  We have to wait for a good 1 hour before we can get our seats as our big group consist of 10 people!
Along the way, I brought this drink from a drink store!

I brought Royal king pudding! As grand as it may sound, it taste like normal milk tea with pudding. Nevertheless, the pudding taste similar to the pudding in the milk pudding found in Cup Walker Singapore! On the bright side, at least I found a drink which resembles Singapore's drink!

After our long wait,  we manage to get our seats and we immediately placed our order.
The restaurants in China does not charge us any service and GST charge at all. So the restaurant food there is not as expensive as the ones in Singapore.
However, the service at the restaurant there is kind of bad because our utensils came only after the food is served and the waiters there treats us quite baldly. They take our orders with a very pissed off face and they raised their voice when we ask a few questions regarding the different set meals available at the restaurant. Oh, and the set meals there are limited as they do not have the set meals we want. According to them, they said that as their business is too good, all the other set meals have been sold out and we are only left with  4 or 5 Sirloin Steak and some other Teriyaki chicken set meal.
We then order our food because all of us are starving.

When our food came, the waiters mixed up our orders and got pissed when we said we didn't order the food that they are planning to serve us. Our entire table ordered medium rare Sirloin steak, except for Benjamin, and the orders brought was half cooked Sirloin Steak. All of us are frustrated as the waiters started to give us attitude when we kept on telling them that they brought us the wrong order.
After a long while, our correct orders are finally brought to us and we started our meal with diminishing frustration.

After our meal,  we took the van that we sat earlier this afternoon  to go back to our hostel!

Day 33 & 34:

I spend this two days in boredom as I slowly arrange and pack up my stuff in the hostel.
We also went to the mini marts to do some last minute purchase on food and other items.

I also brought a Ukelele a few days back and these are the guitar picks that I've obtain for free!

My Ukelele and Guitar picks

We also went to eat the street foods again as it will be our last chance to taste them again!

I will definitely miss all this cheap and tasty street food as they taste so unique and different from Singapore's food!

A last shot of the stall which sells delicious and filling crepe!

End!~
