Day 10; 13032013, Wednesday.

* Today we had our usual lecture in the morning!

We learnt about legislation in Singapore and what the different courts does. Miss Mikia did a great job giving many examples and explanations for each and every courts! After our lecture, we went to the nearest canteen and ate their food there once again! It seems like we might be able to try every type of food the canteen is offering due the amount of food we try almost every single day.
I tried 雪菜肉丝拌面  (Pickled vegetables and minced meat noodles).

It tastes similar to the mixed noodles I tried like.. 1 week ago? Quite salty but still taste delicious at the same time!

Shortly after lunch, we are going out for an excursion to the Coca cola factory in Wuhan! I was feeling kind of excited because I have never went to any Coca cola factory before in my whole entire life ! The bus ride takes around 45 minutes. I slept throughout the bus ride because there was nothing better to do.. Anyways, we arrived at our destination before I know it!
Hubei, Wuhan's very own Coca Cola factory!

The local tour guide for the Coca Cola factory is waiting for us at the entrance! All of us headed to the insides of the Coca Cola factory. We were greeted by the different collectible souvenirs made by Coca Cola company and the exhibitions !

After the short tour of the entrance of the Coca Cola factory, we went to the conference room for a video viewing session! Prizes will also be given if you can answer questions related to the video!
I don't know if the others have noticed but there is this mouldy revolting smell in the conference room.. After further inspection, the cartons contains half-drank Coca Cola bottles. These bottles have like yellow coloured mould growing in them?! I was so shocked and disgusted by it! I wonder why would they leave such mouldy bottles lying around the conference room.

Some pictures of the room!

The video that the tour guide showed was in Chinese! Hopefully someone will translate the video for the non Chinese speaking students!  That aside, the video gave me more insights on the origins of Coca Cola and their growing success over the years! After the entire video screening and Question and Answer section, the tour guide led us to the exhibition hallway where they show us the different people who endorse Coca Cola and the different manufacturing process of Coca Cola!

It really is an eye opening experience for me! I never had any idea how Coca Cola were made and packed into cans and glass bottles but now I have a better idea of the process! Watching all these procedures live and definitely more interesting then watching programs on how Coca Cola is made!
Below are some of the different procedures of the manufacturing process!
P.S: All these pictures have no particular orders! The order of the pictures are jumbled up because I have no idea which picture goes first and which pictures end last.

Placement of Coca Cola bottles into cartons.

Dry heating of bottles to eliminate water droplets on the bottle surface.

Mixing!

Printing of expiry and manufacturing dates on the bottle.

Sealing the bottles using the bottle caps.

Filling of contents into the glass Coca Cola bottles!

Water treatment!

Washing the glass bottles using high pressured water!

To check whether are there any spoilage of the contents in the sealed bottles!

The different washing process of the glass bottles: First they will soak the empty bottles and then afterwards they will use two different kinds of water to rinse the bottle clean! The will first use salt water to clean the bottle two times followed by the usage of fresh water to rinse the bottle 3 times.

Canning process of the Coca Cola cans!

Transportation of the Coca Cola drinks to the different parts of Wuhan!

After knowing more about the different manufacturing processes of Coca Cola, we proceeded to our last destination! the exhibition room!

These are some of the pictures I have taken!

This is how I will look like when I am slim! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

Karize and I- going mad.

We went back after viewing all these exhibition!  The trip to the Coca Cola factory have been an eye opening experience for me and I would like to go to more of this excursions in the future! There are hardly these kind of chances back in Singapore!

End!
