Day 3; 06032013, Wednesday.

* We started our day with our first Forensic Science lecture! Forensic science is a 3rd year elective module for Biomedical Science and we are now taking Forensic Science in Wuhan! Yippee! Our lecturer for today is Dr. Sujit! This is a picture of how our classroom looks like!

We also have a computer screen  between two seats so that it will be convenient for students to take their notes or looking at the lecture materials that their lecturers have put up on the screen.

After lecture, we went to the canteen nearby for our lunch! Their canteen is using the card system used in our Singapore's very own kopitiam! Their food there are quite cheap and delicious! We brought dumpling and shared among ourselves! The dumpling tastes good! Tastes kind of different from Singapore's dumpling.

I ate 肉丝拌面 (Mixed minced meat with noodles) as my main course for lunch! (Kind of sounds like i ate a lot of different dishes for my meal...) The noodles are also very different from Singapore's mixed noodles. The noodles tastes salty but it is very good! Singapore's noodle is not as salty as China's but it is a new experience from what we usually eat.

After finishing my noodles, i brought Wuhan's local delicacy: Fried rice with egg to share with my hostel  mates.
I thought it will taste similar to Singapore's friend rice but it differs a little for the taste.  It taste more bland then Singapore's fried rice. I guess Singaporeans made their fried rice a little heavier on their taste to suit our taste buds.
FRIED RICE! The presentation of the fried rice made the dish very appealing!

After lunch, we went back to our classroom for tutorial. Miss Mikia showed us a video and  asked us to complete a worksheet by gathering details from the video! The video is an episode from a series called: Cold Case. It is basically a detective-like series which looks back to old cases that have not been solved and they try to solve it. The episode we watched is called: The lost soul of Herman Lester.
This episode is mainly on a highschool basketball star dies mysteriously after his championship. Now, the mysterious murderer decided to strike again by sending a death threat to Herman's son. To know more about this amazing episode, please watch it online to find out more! HAHAHAH.

Today is also the day we discovered a mini mart in the school compound! We went to buy some tidbits!  Our tidbits consists of different flavours of oreo! We brought 6 different flavours just to try it.

We shall leave the oreos for another day to test!

We headed out to the street again for local street foods! We tried out their bbq chicken and it taste so good! It tastes like the grilled honey chicken drumlets! It taste really really good! I strongly recommend you to try it if you are planning to travel to Wuhan!

We also tried their fermented beancurd or 臭豆腐 in chinese! Surprisingly, it taste good! As a saying always goes: Do not judge a book by its cover! or should I say Do not judge a beancurd by it's smell!
The tofu is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside!  However, the pungent taste of the tofu will flood your mouth the moment you chew the tofu. But it still smell nice after a while for no apparent reason! AHAHAH.

Went back to the dorm and at 2330, we proceeded down to Miss Mikia's room for Dr Sujit's birthday surprise! The plan that our fellow OIP mates came up with is to cake Dr Sujit. & I mean LITERALLY cake Dr Sujit! So... When the time was ripe, everyone surprised Dr Sujit by barging into his hostel living room and by the time we entered, Dr Sujit was covered with cake! It was an amusing sight  but still, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR SUJIT! MAY YOUR WISHES COME TRUE!

The following contain's Dr Sujit's not-so-glamorous pictures!

P.S. : Most of the photos rotate by itself.. I can't seem to rotate it on blogger! Sorry guys!
